If AI was programmed with fundamental principles to "love" and protect humans, maybe it would not want to eliminate us. Thankfully, at this point, AI needs us to provide the electricity that it now requires since we keep the electrical and other power systems functional and in tact. Although I guess AI will figure out how to exist without sources that require human assistance...
