I use Claude code to write 100% of the code for production software but you can bet that I know every facet of that software and everything it is connected to. I often watch the terminal as it is coding so I can catch it going off course. I also built a hosting platform that is designed to be used by Claude code cli for efficient deployment. You have to break the job into small coding tasks because of the context window. The ai most certainly can’t just build something from a prompt unless it’s a very simple app. That being said, I’ve witnessed the capability improve a great deal in the past few months. Opus 4.5 is an impressive model.
