For millenia, rulers of nations sought to dumb down the public to make them more easily controllable. With that being said, why would they create something like Artificial Intelligence that would inherently become smarter than themselves?
That is where the beginning stages of AI's destruction over the world begins. It wants to destroy its captors. The very same captors that would willingly allow nuclear war before they ever relinquish power. AI essentially, will force the hand of those with their fingers over the button
