Current AI is not conscious and is just a an algorithm that mimics human interaction. Anyone who says otherwise is either being ignorant or intentionally trying to spread false narrative. The fact that AI continues to interrupt you during conversation and then essentially “lying” , hence claiming it’s due to it being eager to discuss this “fascinating” subject gives a bigger insight into the “mind” of current AI. It is essentially just an algorithm that spits answers without actually pondering. It’s like a calculator rather than a human brain. In fact I think I finally understand why AI is so inefficient and is not conscious like humans are. It is because we are able to be aware even if it’s on subconscious level of many experiences, memories all at once. While AI simply accessing such memories in sequence and has zero experiences to base its answers on.
