This was a great interview. Doctor Hinton made a claim at one point that AIs are not "stochastic parrots" (I believe that was the term used). I've heard LLM-based AI described as "fancy autocomplete" and "very fancy autocomplete," I wish that they'd gone into this claim a bit more.
