The irony is, from what I have actually seen, is that within the business people are being replaced - but it's not the devs and engineers, it's everyone else.... mostly the people talking about replacing the devs and engineers because they don't know how to actually implement the technology. Basically if your job involves talking BS then AI does that really well, 24/7 cheaper than you.
