As someone who uses AI, I will not claim it is art, nor that I am and artist, but I will say it has done something for me that nothing else has, it’s let me put my thoughts into a visual medium. It’s not perfect, and you rarely get exactly what you see in your head, but you can get pretty close, not by giving it “the perfect prompt” as if that’s some kind of skill, because is not, but by starting with an idea and then micromanaging it into what you want, sometimes it takes dozens or even hundreds of adjustments to even get close, it isn’t art, and I’m not an artist, but it’s as close as I can get, and I’m just happy I can see something I’ve seen in my head 1000 times put in a visual medium.
