The Neoliberal Capitalist economic system is, in a sense, a form of AI. They like to call it the "Invisible Hand" but it isn't a hand at all. It's a system akin to what Blake Lemoine is taking about with regard to AI. It has its own agenda, not necessarily in the interest of humanity or the planet as a whole. Individuals are mostly just supplicants. This is the reason why things are spinning out of control.
