Personally, I don't think you can blame this incident on a chatbot. From experience I'm saying this, is that if someone is turning to ChatGPT to talk about heavy things like that, actually means there's something iffy about the environment they live in. It's human nature to turn to another human when in need of a connection. So perhaps instead of trying to sue OpenAI, perhaps try to think about what made him turn to ChatGPT with such dependence in the first place.
