People who say “if it’s online it’s free to use” don’t understand that social media platforms like Twitter have copyright protections which protects your posts and images you put on their platform automatically/instantly even if you didn’t get a permit from the government of the artists country.
It is illegal to use, modify, or make an art work that is derived by anything that is copyrighted so all these people are infringing on artists art. People on the internet need to learn “if it’s online it’s probably breaking the law to use it”.
