I'm a disabled artist, but not to the extent I'm about to discuss. I am fairly certain we're in a place that people who are even paralyzed in most of their bodies can create art and write with just using their eyes. What that would look like in execution I am unsure, but I have seen immobile people talk with their eye movements and a synthesized voice. We don't need generative AI to create. It's intrinsically human and may look different from person to person. The point of art is that we created it with our hearts. Not slapped some words in a prompter that spits out plagiarized works. I think if we made an AI system that helped someone medically somehow to create their OWN work, that'd be so much different. That isn't what generative AI is. It's not a tool. It's a replication, and one the artists it scraped did not consent to.
