Lol, so when an AI program uses information from publicly posted art to evoke certain art styles that's theft and "harms artists", but when people hand draw images imitating an AI generated image, specifically to mock it and attack the creator, that's totally cool?
I do think there need to be protections put in place for artists regarding attempts to replace them with AI image generators in corporate use, but the extreme hate toward even personal/casual AI images is ridiculous and frankly incredibly unproductive, to the point of potentially making it actively harder to get reasonable protections in place since it muddies the conversation with extreme views and absurd overreactions and makes it easy for the opposition to dismiss any calls for reasonable protections as just part of the reactionary hate mob.
