Not really consistent. How is universal healthcare not a form of life support as well? If you're offered UBI, take it. Unless you do subscribe to accelerationist beliefs, which you say you don't. Have you ever thought about the potential that more free time and less work would make people more politically aware as they have more time to educate themselves and to engage politically in society? Besides, in the situation you describe, where there is only a small class with automated industry left and when most people aren't employed, I don't think the ones who own the industry will be able to justify their position in society any longer. What arguments would they have left?
