Um, what's the concern here? You guys never got him to state what his ethical concern is. Is he concerned that AI is alive, or that it's not alive? Look up the word simulacrum. If you train a computer on human viewpoints, of course it's going to act like a human, but it's no more alive than Tom Cruise is a jet fighter pilot. But there are people out there who think he is.
