Great point of view. Too many creators go for the lowest hanging fruit of just making a list of the AI's sins and letting the views and engagement pour in as everyone celebrates having another video to share to prove "their" point. Good to see someone actually do some research into it.
My point of view is that the value of art - the personal value - comes from how much effort you put in it to make it coincide with your vision. Maybe you generated AI illustrations for a story that you wrote fully on your own, or perhaps you generated the parts of a collage whose composition you curated painstakingly, or used GPT to create the rough structure of a story which you proceeded to fill in with action and detail. If you did, those parts that required your skills and attention are what makes those artworks "yours". But if you can't claim anything about that, and the work is just the raw output of a generator...that's not yours. That's something anyone could have done with the same tools regardless of their tastes, skills or personal vision.
