The impact I worry most about with AI is not that people will see something fake and believe it is true, but that people will see wonderful true things and assume they are all fake.
We are going to reach a point where people are not impressed by truly fabulous art, and they will all just assume it is computer-generated.
It already seems it is all over the place. “This is fake” comments are in the comments of almost all awe-striking content.
