I honestly don’t think I’d have an issue with Ai gen content if it was used as a way to make free content for personal use. I used Ai image generation to create a picture of my DND character to use for our campaign because I wanted a photo realistic version of what I’d drawn. It was passable for what I needed and I was open about it being Ai to my friends. It never went outside of our Circle. Sometimes I’ve used AI to help me when I’m drawing to come up with a colour pallet, or when I’m writing songs to help me decipher the meaning of what I’ve written. I’ve used it to help my art and creations. I use it as another set of eyes. But the people who are the most vocally supportive of Ai are the folks who want to use it to make money. That’s what ruins things imo. Money hungry folks love manipulating systems to their advantage. YouTube used to be a place people would post content they cared about. But as soon as it began to be a money game- people looking to exploit it when crazy. It’s sad. IMO, I don’t hate AI. I really like what it can do. As someone with ADHD, it helps me time manage and plan my days. As someone with autism it helps me understand social situations by breaking it down logically. As someone with health anxiety, it helps me find answers to mysterious symptoms without having to go to web md and find I have cancer. It’s such a great way to brainstorm and use as a stepping stone for better ideas. But I feel like I’m one of the few people who actually uses it like that and that’s so sucky. I wish folks wouldn’t abuse things
