AI can wipe out the middle class. That's why people are noticing. When Mechanisation and Globalisation wiped out working class jobs nobody cared. Detroit and cities like it around the world are abandoned and derelict. Self service and AI customer service is everywhere. We either think of a new way of living beyond wage labour.
