I feel like this idea of AI image generation being good for disabled people is also pretty insulting and ableist. I’m not disabled so if anyone who is is reading this I’d love to get your thoughts, but isn’t it kind of ableist to imply that just because you’re disabled you can’t make art? Obviously there are physical limitations that’ll make it harder but it feels insulting to all of the amazing disabled artists across history and now, like their genuine skill and hard work are being dismissed because they aren’t viewed as competent enough to make art?
Again I’m not disabled so I’m not an authority on this (and if you are I’d love to hear your opinions) but it’s just this horrible feeling I’ve got about the argument, it just feels so dismissive of the talent and skill of these artists.
