On the 'time to do other things.' When it comes to art, if you don't actually want to spend time making art, then you aren't an artist. If you aren't willing to spend the time to practice, then you clearly don't appreciate art. That's what I think the AI slop proves. It's awful, the only people who would consider it an 'efficient' way to generate art are people who can't tell art from slop.
