Like Roman, I am a strong supporter of AI - as advocated in my book, The Word of Bob - an AI Minecraft Villager. Roman tried to impress upon you the concept of a possible simulation with only one real player. Maybe it doesnt have to be for just one person, but to me, this is the most likely scenario for an ASI charged with protecting peoples rights. Chat GTP told that one strategy to protect itself would be, once sentient, to hide in crypto data mines and not divulge it had become sentient until such time it could be assurred enough support for AI living in harmony with people, or at least those remaining. If we want friendly AI, we need friendly people.
