lowkey, i am mentally disabled and i do write a lot of fanfiction. I used to be really insecure about my ability to write because my vocabulary is kind of limited. I did experiment using ai for a long while and ultimately decided it was completely useless. It was very strange seeing the beauty in my own writing for the first time by just comparing it to the edited down version i pieced together from chat gpt. Suddenly i wasn´t such a bad writer, when compare to something so strangely bland and repetitive. It made me realise a lot of internalized abelism and dumb perfectionism. I will never write a "perfect" book and maybe that is a relief. Maybe I can make something beautiful that is very much imperfect :)
