The problem Is Europeans re-writing history. Even if you use the best AI models and ask them of American history, you have to specifically ask to leave out Eurocentrism before getting accurate analysis on historical events because most of the people doing the studies are white or of European descent, so logically speaking one would make their group more superior than others and will look for facts that aid their racial bias, which race in the term itself was created by Europeans for racism in a human classification sense. Freed men of both groups had businesses elites etc. the problem came when most slaves became free and the freed blacks and whites banded together to overthrow new weak colonies, so rich EUROPEANS decided to implement “race” for racism by use of propaganda and pseudoscience. They made two terms if you were deemed “white” you were free, land and all rights of man, if deemed “black” even if you were a man of elite stature and business, it was stripped and you were forced to indefinite servitude. American schools pick up the story after this happened, they don’t teach any grade level that race and racism was created by Europeans and that before that everyone lived in harmony, whites were slaves too, and slavery was contractual and sought after for those looking to travel to America of different ethnic groups who came. TL;DR the main problem of colonization comes from Europeans rewriting and omitting thing out of history most don’t even know how slavery REALLY was, as US schools pick up the story after key events where race wasn’t even a known thing to humanity as a whole.
