This video is actually so helpful and educational! I use AI to generate genaric covers for my fanfictions on Wattpad. I never thought it was a problem since it was always very basic landscaping or random backdrops that I would put effects and the title over.
That and the fact that I wasn't writing these stories for money and all of it is just wish-fulfillment or just something that made me happy that I wanted to share with the internet. However, thanks to this lovely video, I understand why AI is bad even in personal use circumstances. I won't be using AI to generate images anymore. After all, as a writer, I think I'd be pretty pissed if someone used an AI to write fanfiction that wasn't meant to be a joke or an experiment, so I suppose it's the same with artists.
I'm embarrassed to admit it took me this long to figure it out, and I sincerely apologize to all of the artists out there.
