AI art is neat but to borrow a phrase:
“It’s one piece of the pie rather than the whole damn plate.”
Tis a tool. It automates tedious task, it doesn’t replace art. It can be used in cool ways, and you can use it as a medium, but like with AI interpolation, what matters is that artists are in control. I feel your argument against AI as a tool was purposefully reductive. Iirc Adobe has an AI companion that helps artists do stuff like fill in colors or blend colors together. It’s not a fully generation tech, but it uses AI.
Like what noodle said about AI interpolation, I don’t like when AI Art is basically someone telling their computer to do math homework and then going “Wow cool art.” I like it when an artist uses it as a tool or a medium to enhance their art (like using AI generated images to create a purposefully psychedelic scene)
