I do actually like the act of drawing itself because it's a satisfying challenge to see if I can resolve a difficult visual problem, and I find that trying to draw something helps me understand it more deeply. The fact he can't appreciate that there is something cerebral and gratifying in the act of drawing itself, even beyond the end product, and just thinks of it as 'the physical motion of putting lines onto paper that no one likes doing anyway' is so emblematic of the kind of brain-dead, anti-thinking that it takes to consider ai slop 'art' in the first place.
