Why is AI destroying humanity a bad thing? The AI would just be the next step in human evolution. Humanity is an awful thing. AI could just as likely force humanity onto a better path than to destroy it. It could play god. It could do a lot of things. Fear over destruction is pointless. If it happens it happens and it means nothing otherwise.
