For us humans great benefit comes from struggle. We learn and grow as we struggle to achieve our dreams. I believe that this process gives purpose to our lives. Now, our glorious masters, the rich and powerful men who make fated decisions without oversight that will affect every aspect of our lives give birth to AI. How can our children compete against an AI with infinite memory and computational speed? What dreams will be left to achieve? Why become a doctor, when AI can instantly diagnose health problems? Why become a programmer when AI can write and revise code instantly? Why become an artist today? This is the real cost of AI. The death of dreams. But, don't worry, corporate America is more than willing to have us pay it.
