"Huge amounts of free time and no need to work anymore." That isnt dystopia, its freedom from necessity. It might be alright for some who are lucky enough to run successful business and be millionaires but many of us are literally stuck in a grind of a boring 8 hour day 5 day a week bullshit of a job we hate with passion. Not only that but with the incompetence of govt in the UK and the greed of the economic sector. Its getting way harder to get financial freedom, save winning a lottery ticket. Buying a house is a nightmare. I've always thought that if you life is that boring and meaningless that you think losing employment is a dystopia then you must have no friend and family, no social life, no passions, no love for every possible appreciation that exists. If I didn't have to work for money any more I would have more things to do than I had time for. Become an artist, writer, geographer, meteorologist, historian, study culture, study philosophy, soo many many thing that I could spend multiple lifetimes doing and still not be done. Not to mention the entertainment world which has a list of millions of different unique pleasures I could become enthralled in. Only I cant becouse of two things, money and work. I am as a salve not the companies, that's stupid, but I am as a salve to necessity. And if I was free from those two necessity I would be free to live contently for the rest of my life. But soo firm is my belief that there is endless passion and enjoyment in life that I want immortality and when AI and/or science gives us that. I will have eternal, beauty, for life is beauty.
