I believe there is no possible solution than to reconstruct regions in the image of the old village communities of Europe. Characterized by cooperation and solidarity, competence and heavy protectionist ideals - keep the agriculture, forestry, industry close by. That is the only way to ensure that you have a political and economic community around you, that channels the benefits of AI into a society, while avoiding the negatives. Sadly we are experiencing a time where people are massively alienated from each other and in heavy dependencies either to some corporation or to the state, while housing prices are soaring through the roof.
