I believe AI is both powerful and dangerous.
Any company deploying AI should have a clear safeguard a “big red stop button to immediately shut it down if needed.
The real concern isn’t just about job losses. The bigger risk is that AI could be blamed for catastrophic events: a plane crash, an explosion, even the outbreak of war. Instead of holding nations accountable, people may point the finger at AI itself. That could lead us not only into an unemployment crisis, but into conflicts driven by the misuse—or the convenient scapegoating of AI.
And here in Australia I’m not worried about AI as much. I’ll worry about it in maybe 2050 why? It’s because our Internet in Australia is so crap their systems won’t able to keep up with the AI.
