Its a very valid point and good.
Unfortunately given enough time, AI art will replace artist. There are to many free to use pieces, and as people die and copy right on a piece run out more and more pieces will get added to the AI.
In 100 years or even in 50 with the internet and free use it will have enough of a data base.
It probably already could have a big enough database just on all the free artwork out there to make it unfortunately able to make any art.
I am sorry and agree you work should not be stolen.
Fortunately, just like cars replaced horses, it didn't end all the horse jobs just changed them. I believe it will be the same with art.
I am more interested in the potential lost of skill, as AI takes over amd fewer people pratice art, will technique be lost to people.
