I have worked my entire life towards my Dream job of becoming a game artist. I did…for 4 years before the company went down and now it’s next to impossible to hit a job. Not only because of AI but due to the several lay offs in almost every company. Now there are tons of skilled people searching for a job and barely anyone who hires. Lead, seniors, at least 5 years of experience in AAA field, and you better be able to do the job of 3 people for the payment of one. The requirements are unreal but that’s nothing new. Needless to say, as junior or Mid you are hella fucked. 🥲
