There is a reason this trial is happening in Texas. Texas refuses to let anyone except Republicans run their state. Republicans who let corporations do whatever they want. People either need to vote for a universal basic income system, or vote for restrictions on automation so they can keep their jobs that aren't keeping up with the cost of living. Either way, you'll need Not-Republicans in charge of government to make that happen. So you can have your opinion about what needs to be done. But it will be worthless until people stop voting for the billionaire class to be their lords.
