I use AI to get digital images of my sketches and IMO these images are still my art and my intellectual property. And on top of that I think that even altering it a tiny bit like „make him grin“ would not change that. That’s how you use AI as a tool. If that’s cheating everything people do with photoshop (layers etc) is cheating as well compared to people who paint on canvas for example.
