Very relieved to finally see a member of Congress speak about what will eventually be on everyone’s (not just those of us in the AI space who’ve been seeing this unfold) minds and wallets within a year. We can’t rely on UBI - Andreeson, one of the larger investors in AI and a Libertarian capitalist, is against it - and OpenAI’s nonprofit to save the day. Also appreciate action items, not just highlighting the problems. Here’s a link to Sanders’ release https://www.help.senate.gov/dem/newsroom/press/news-sanders-releases-report-on-big-tech-oligarchs-war-against-workers-warns-ai-could-eliminate-nearly-100-million-us-jobs. Keep an eye on big tech lobbying going on and into the midterms as well, their SuperPAC to back pro-AI candidates, anti-regulation or legislation similar to what Sanders recommended.
