Having worked in technology going way before the IBM PC in things such as 10 Base-T, Token Ring etc I have watched a pattern emerge. Software has replaced many things that were hardware devices. Also, I have watched the catastrophes enabled by the faulted-pressured roll-out of software applications, one of the worst being the Boeing Max-8 disaster. Pretty much all network-firewall-switching is now done via software. In addition, much of our power-transmission grids are controlled by software and AI-AGI-ASI is software-based also. We cannot stop AGI and ASI emerging, it is already impossible.
