There is so much misinformation in this video being presented as facts, I feel sorry for people who just want to understand this issue. There is no starting point in a discussion when factually incorrect information is the basis for fallacious arguments. If you are interested in this topic, I highly encourage you to do your own research instead of being placated by sensationalized clickbait. This technology is complex and obviously extraordinarily disruptive. There is a temptation in being reductive because the effort required to understand what is actually happening can be exhausting. The stakes however are astronomical. There are many evil corporations such as Disney who are looking to take advantage of this uninformed emotional response by pushing for changes to copyright law that include the ability to copyright a style (style has never been able to obtain copyright). People would have no idea the true consequences of something like this before all the takedowns for fanart and fanfiction and literally anything that even remotely resembles a piece of intellectual property of a corporation. There will never be a law that will distinguish between AI art and human art, that line will become so blurry in a few years there will be no way to tell. What the law can do is allow copyright for style which will destroy free artistic expression and commercialize art in it's entirety.
