I'm curious - where do you draw the line at AI-generated and AI-assisted?
I've seen people that mention AI being used in their process for the sake of transparency get ripped apart by other artists that also use it. Mainly because the line for what counts as AI is a very blurry line. Is the "smart select" tool in Photoshop considered AI? You're being assisted by software at that point, how is it effectively any different?
And if you think it's about the level of effort put into it... I get that. But again, Theres a distinction, even within "AI generated" art.
One end of the spectrum, you have people just writing a text prompt on midjourney. That's low-effort, I agree.
But on the other end, you have those that are creating a customized workflow in comfyUI, configuring and weighting LoRas, determining a checkpoint, using a posing tool, and then still doing manual clean-up with something like Photoshop.
It's not about just using AI to me. It's about the amount of AI.
