The point is to make explicit what you think about what you read which is where you are forced to hone the conclusions and formally structure an argument if you want to pass and therefore where you consolidate your learning, no doubt going through some disequilibrium to eventually get there. This is missing from the process when AI is involved. The learning cycle is thus incomplete.
