Existential threats are threats to existence. They cannot fight the march of progress. It would be like horse trainers striking because cars had been invented. Art comes from human emotion. AI does not have emotions, so all I can see is they are in it for the money, and not to create something amazing out of nothing, even if you have to sleep in your car to get it done like James Cameron did. Kids today don't understand the basic concept that every dream has it's price. Cheers.
