We need to switch to an economic system that’s purpose is to care for human life and happiness and our earth and give us more time for the arts and community and completely get rid of a profit driven economic system. Capitalism is coming to an end. It won’t work going forward. If we insist on keeping capitalism in place then yes our destiny with AI development is scary looking. If we had a democratic socialist economic system then new tech that frees us from so much work would be welcomed so we can get more enjoyment out of our lives and enjoy more human relationships and connections and the arts etc.
