I'm not an AI artist, but I use AI every day, and I can tell you AI is just a tool, not a monster that's going to destroy imagination, art, or culture. For example, if I want to learn more about a piece of AI-generated art, like where the style comes from, I can just ask an AI (DeepSeek, ChatGPT, Mistral): "Hey, this AI art looks cool, can you tell me what inspired this style?" I just asked ChatGPT about a dark fantasy image, and it pointed me to Dark Souls, Warhammer, and Beksinski. I still think most AI art is bad art, but I totally get why people enjoy using it as a fun tool to mock Elon Musk or to bring their D&D characters to life. AI isn’t evil, it’s just a tool we have to learn to live with. (Also, I’m not sure about image generation, but for text generation, it seems like AI could be trained on AI-generated text or even evaluate the quality of that text before using it as training data. So maybe data poisoning won’t work in the future? Idk...)
