Another way of looking at it is eventually our sun will go supernova/ red giant and the earth will be completely destroyed by fire and eventually after that the sun will go dark and no life survives in our solar system. There is no plausible way humans could ever get to another solar system but humanoid robots perhaps could. It's almost irrelevant if the AI wipes us out sometime before our sun starts to die. Also it's worth noting that IF there ever was life on other planets in our universe it has probably long ago been supplanted by machines and these machines are probably flying towards every solar system in our universe but it could take millions of years before they ever get to any other solar systems. Also for what it's worth, the Bible also says Earth will be destroyed by fire, but God is going to create a new earth with no ocean and no ☀️. Somehow he is going to resurrect people into this new Earth and it's going to be awesome so you might want to look into how to get in (Jesus is the Way)! 😅
