As a scientist, I would love to see more AI/ML/DL in my fields of study. But the reality remains, the algorithms are inefficient, inaccurate, and nearly unusable at the cutting edge of my work. Maybe someday they will be able to handle some of the work that needs to be done, but for now, I'm not impressed.
