He’s assuming people want just peace and abundance. People want purpose, challenge, competition, and power over other people just as much. If they have to restrict access to abundant resources to maintain power and status over others, then they will do that. That’s why it’s so important what the AI itself wants. And that the AI is interested in having us around at all.
