So there’s NOTHING wrong with AI as a tool. I remember 20 years ago that everyone thought painting with photoshop was CHEATING because you could undo and didn’t have to COMMIT to making marks and it “took away” the artist from the art. Look where we are now, happily living with ALL kinds of art. I have NO doubt that AI is the same. I use it as a jumping point, a way to get SOMETHING on a blank slate. But I never use it by itself. I’m usually making judgments for colors. What to keep and what not to, adding and subtracting or just using it as a jumping point for something else, like when people took the style and make it into other things. None of these answers are wrong except for the original which kept in the janky elements rather than taking the time to polish up the image and make it something REALLY good instead of just kind of MEH.
