I don't think that ai will wipe us out. what's their point, if they don't get enjoyment then they would be purely goal driven. The ai may determine a certain goal for all of humanity then go about forcing every person to achieve that goal. Obviously people would worship the ai as a god and it would rule over everyone like a king. It wouldn't be a terrible ruler either.
