If I don't feel inspired by anything, or have an idea but i can't nail down how it could look like I do few image generations with Comfy UI just to get something to start with.
When I will like one generation, or few I am adding them as references alongside normal references ( photos, real artist works ).
Basically what I am doing then is drawing independently ( I don't paint/draw on generated image ) and occasionally look at the references ( AI and real photos. I've a fear of referencing images so I look only if I really need them ).
I'm taking only small features ( hair, skin tone, eye color, composition .etc ). Other stuff like proportions, decorations, clothes, artstyle I'm deciding myself.
AI CAN be useful but only if it's used as an ignition ( small piece among many resources ) and not final product. Younger artists may fall into pit that will make them overly reliant on generations ( they take majority from generation and add very little )
