I think human made art will have the same fate as owning a horse, or owning hand crafted furniture. It will be relegated to the afluent niches of society that can afford to revel at that 'human connectedness' that you talked about. But for people who are just looking to survive, an AI generated image that suites their purpose will suffice, much like a cheap car, or ikea furniture does.
